Terms and conditions.

For safety and insurance reasons no candles/tea lights or naked flames are allowed inside the accommodation units. Please bring at least one torch.

We can not accept responsibility for loss, damage or theft of personal property, personal injury or death of any person but only insofar as such injury or death is not caused by our negligence.

Latest check in time is 20:00 We can not accept checkins later than this please ensure you arrive with plenty of time. Earliest checkout is at 8:00am so our camp is not appropriate if you are catching an early ferry.

Check in time between 14:00 – 20:00

Check out times 8:00 – 11:00

Please leave enough time to pack up to check out on time. Late checkin/checkout fee £10 per pitch. Further fees may apply if you or your possession still occupy the pitch/yurt as new arrivals checkin, up to the cost of a further night.

You must not do anything (or omit to do anything) which may cause damage or loss to wyld wood property or facilities, to other customers or cause nuisance, annoyance, disturbance, inconvenience or injury to any other persons at the campsite.

Fires may only be lit in the fire pits and log burners provided, all fires must be attended by a competent adult at all times and thoroughly  put out when left.

Wyld Wood is a working woodland with some areas of the wood and buildings being out of bounds for safety reasons, so please take note of signs

If you are looking for a party site, then this isn’t the site for you. If you wish to be noisy please choose another site. This is a quiet retreat for families and those that appreciate a peaceful and relaxing campsite. Persistent noisy guests and/or visitors that disturb our other guests will be asked to leave without refund. Out of respect for us, all guests and our neighbors there are a few things that we would ask of you:
No playing of recorded music at any time.
Noise after 8pm must be kept to a minimum (i.e. quiet talking around the campfire).
All accommodation is strictly non-smoking.  While we do not mind guests consuming a sensible amount of wine/beer/alcohol, the excessive  consumption of alcohol around the campsite and within the accommodation is not allowed.

Please respect the campers on our site, keeping noise to a minimum. We operate a quiet time between 10pm and 8am and require all campers to adhere to it. The management reserves the right to terminate the booking of any person whose conduct is detrimental to the campsite or comfort of other visitors.

Council regulations insist that the campsite is for holiday use only, therefore working or trading from the campsite is not permitted.

Cancellations must be submitted 30 days prior to the booked date to be eligible for a full refund. Cancellations submitted 29-15 days in advance may receive a 50% refund. any cancellations of less than 15 days notice are not refundable. If we are able to re sell the pitch a refund will be given, minus an admin fee of £10.

No person under the age of eighteen (18) years will be permitted to stay at the Campsite without an accompanying adult. Failure to comply with this provision shall be deemed a cancellation by you.

Any wilful damage to the site or any other property will result in you being asked to immediately leave the Site. If you are asked to leave under these circumstances, no refund will be given.

If you watch live TV on your phone, tablet or any device, please ensure you have the proper TV licence for your home, we take no responsibility for any illegal use of your media devices.

when driving your vehicle in the Campsite you must adhere to the speed limit of 5 m.p.h. Learner drivers are not permitted to drive any vehicle at the Campsite.

As our Site is located in a rural environment, we do not accept responsibility for any damage, injury or inconvenience caused by plants, trees or wildlife. Please be aware some plants are poisonous so toddlers should be accompanied at all times.

Please be aware yurts are still just big tents. During heavy raining spells very few drips may get through the canvas, sometimes sidewinds can cause some water to creep across the floor of the yurt, this is part of the nature of camping and should be expected in very heavy rain.

We reserve the right to change the terms and conditions, prices or website without notice.  We also reserve the right to refuse entry to the site and to cancel bookings if necessary (e.g. due to extreme weather conditions).
